Considering how awesome Strange New Worlds has turned out to be, please put out a book for this, pretty please. All the SNW haters can stick it.
No licence at the moment, but you can almost guarantee that there will be a book once it is possible
My honest expectations on what campaign settings on next on the agenda and their likely release years.
2024: Star Trek: Picard Campaign Guide (will include Romulans as Playable Species in addition to setting details about life post-Mars Bombing and Romulus Supernova up to the turn of the 25th century.)
2025: Star Trek: Discovery (3188-3191) Campaign Guide (Covers the remaining 3 seasons, I expect a lot of alterations to the shipbuilding rules.)
The Picard S1 character pack does have a full write up for the Romulans as a playable species. I’m hoping they throw in the Remans as well due their history with the Romulans (they didn’t appear in the series and were only mentioned in season 3).
Kind of surprised a Picard S2 character pack hasn’t appeared yet.
Working on it. Development and approvals take time.
The Picard season 1 PDF contains the playable species sheet for Romulans.
The Discovery season 3 PDF offers details on how 32nd century ships are different from 22-25th century starships.
I’m Sorry I didn’t mean to offend. I’ve seen some of the other season based packs released not to far apart from each other and I didn’t take into account those were likely finished way before the announcement of a forthcoming supplement.
I hope for a Lost Era Campaign Guide, to quote from Starship Tempest: Set in the between Captains Kirk and Picard, …, and going clumsily if not boldly were no one have gone before.
Another large campaign book like Shackleton Expanse!
Yeah, but I figured we’d get a more detailed look.
This. Or at least a third mission compilation.
I am going to bump again for a Romulan Source Book, covering from ENT / TOS to STO.
What I wish for is models for the Tabletop Simulator. You have such great models, that I can buy and download. But there are way to detailed for the Tabletop Simulator. The program can´t handle such big files. So please release a smaller, less detailed version of your Print at Home models. I would buy every one of them.
I would love to see a Utopia Planitia Supplemental with more of the Picard starships - the Duderstadt, Echelon, Sagan, Alita, Excelsior II, Edison etc
I don’t know that Modiphius would be the ones to ask about this. I suspect there’s a bunch of licensing issues already in the idea of making 3d items for a tabletop simulator regardless of who does it, but I wonder if ‘virtual board game’ might be something the board game licensees would have to do instead of Modiphius.
I’d really love a mix of STA Briefs and the Anthologies just like “These are the voyages”.
The single episodes are too long and time consuming to be easily prepped.
The Briefs are too short. The GM has to invest some time to prepare these episodes. Would be nice if the single Brief-
adventures contained were a bit longer and more detailed.
Maybe 4 or 5 episodes per Brief with about 4 or 5 pages.
Tabletop Simulator can import (almost) every Low Poly 3D File. So I don´t ask for a special License, I just ask for a Low Poly Version of the models. Even right now, it would be possible to import the STL-File, with a lot of work. The main-problem is the file size.
It would be also good to have smaller files, for storing the files on an own hard disc too. The gigantic and detailed files take a lot of space. If you realise, one or two month later, you have to print 2 more Borg Drones at home, you probably have to downloaded and setup everything again. At least I don´t have the space to save all 66 Miniatures (and I hope more come) for maybe printing them at sometime a second time. Especially because I play mostly online, I have not much use of the big files.
That’s just another great reason they should stop making prequels and contradicting established canon on a whim. I’d love it if they’d hire some good writers and give us a new series set sometime not too far post-Nemesis. Or just swipe from the better novels if they cant come up with ideas of their own.
That’s what Lower Decks and Prodigy are.
It is worth noting that Modiphius, by vaguely incorporating the STO timeline, is already contradicted by canon (as Picard’s first season (first episode, really) contradicts significant plot points from its backstory).
If I remember correctly, isn’t one of the bigger contradictions the fact that Data is still dead and B4 which did suffer from having Data shoved into him, didn’t sacrifice himself for Data to live in B4’s body and become Captain of Enterprise E/F?
Not to mention the Borg still existing.
