Oh? Is there something in the Captain’s Log book about it?
I need to type 10+ characters.
Okay, I know: This speculation is wild!
But Jim does deserve a good laugh, doesn’t he? I think he ought to be allowed to have some fun while working so hard. So, bear with me!
Dune features extensive rules on political/strategic play and the “Admiralty Campaign” rules in the Command Division Supplement are rather rudimentary. I’d say, there’s some untapped potential in this area (and with both the Lower Decks and the Captain’s Log supplements, the areas of “strategic importance” of locations and/or resources are touched).
Probably not gonna happen, but I’d definetly be hyped and I would never expect this (would be so cool, though!).
Now…I’ve posted the gamemats/battlemats I commissioned for hire for free, just as Falke wanted…
Would somebody PLEASE tell me what’s in the works to get somebody, ANYBODY to 3D print up Momentum, Threat, and Determination tokens for purchase??? I’ve advertised for somebody to manufacture them, and I’ve gone to a company called Beadle & Grimm’s in Canada, which has gone crazy in making very high quality products for D&D games! I sent them the request for Star Trek Adventures by Modiphius, and the man there wrote back, saying that they’d “Look into it.” Meaning, I hope, that they will contact the guys at Modiphius in England, and they’ll say YES and give them a license to make us the Tokens and other neat stuff for our game!!!

By the way, a big THANK YOU for Modiphius publishing my starship, the Nova Class science vessel, with edited Departments and Systems…even if they did rename her “Canary Islands” and eliminate our Interphase Cloak device (our characters risked their lives for that little unit!) It’s usually only activated for disguising the ship with a pre-warp culture, or for protecting our vessel from incoming fire (when cloaked, all enemy fire phases harmlessly right through the ship.) This is very convenient, especially when we’re loaded with patients!
Ever tried your luck with Modiphius’ customer support asking whether they plan to replenish their stock of the acrylic tokens?
I know, it’s definetly no the same, but, in the meantime you can print out the tokens included in the digital Starter Set (I’d suggest to glue them on cardboard) or buy a physical one.
We have no plans to reprint the acrylic tokens.
The Nova was in the core book and we added it to Utopia Planitia. Not to burst anyone’s bubble, but we didn’t use anyone’s submission or fan material to do it.
There are some STLs available for free. I can’t remember where I got mine from (someone on this forum gave linked them to me, but this was a year or two ago now), but if you got those, you could just print them yourself or get a local 3D printing shop to do them for you. I printed a whole bunch and painted them. My issue is that the varnish keeps sticking.
There’s a guy on Etsy who does handmade dials and trackers for a variety of RPGs. He’s got little wooden dials for Dune to track Momentum and Threat…you could contact him and see if he can do STA-themed ones…

Here’s the website for the token STLs I mentioned:

Shame they’re in Canada, I might have tried them too…
Is there going to be a reprint of the Klingon Core book?
US store has the collector’s version and standard version in stock. The .NET store has the collector’s edition in stock.
No plans for a reprint if and when we sell out. It was a 400-page behemoth of a book and printing costs have only increased since it released.
PDF is available, of course.
Second that, maybe one more TOS-era focused this time around?
One more what? Core book? The Rules Digest is TOS focused and formatted.

@cjcafiero replied to a posting by @Chord, indicated by them being listed near the timestamp of the posting with a little arrow-symbol. Clicking on the symbol expands the text cjcafiero referred to.
Chord hopes that the other printed product we’re to save our latinum for, this year, will be a big campaign book like Shackleton. cjcafiero seconds, and hopes it would be more TOS-era focused.
Ah gotcha. I didn’t see the arrow.
Scheduling shenanigans conspired against us. The print release is being pushed to Q1 24.
But save your latinum anyway. Never know when we might spring a digital surprise on you.
Shame it won’t be in time for Christmas
Is there a campaign book of some kind (a la Shackleton) in the works/on the list of projects to do?
I can neither confirm nor deny specifics. Sloan’s Section 31 NDA got me on lockdown.
On a related note, I don’t envision producing another supplement Shackleton-sized. That thing clocked in at 310 pages.
You mean, something like Picard Season 2 & 3 crews, Lower Decks Season 3, or Discovery season 4?
Unless, of course, we’re indeed getting a campaign, yet, a digital one. I’m still betting my latinum on anything campaign-ish. And I still bet that there’s something in the pipe with regard to movies era. E.g. setting like DIS or LD. That one would be my candidate for the print product of former-Q3/23-nowQ1/24.
I mean, the only digital-only products so far were a) crews, b) stand-alone missions, and c) mission briefs. Also, the concept of mini-campaigns is already established (A Star Beyond the Stars in the Starter Set, Keyhole to Eternity in the Tricorder Set, Yet, Wonders in the Jaws of Defeat in Discovery, and Unsung Heroes in Lower Decks). Seems natural to me, to expand this a little bit and break away from “only as add-in to starters and settings”.
Edit: Or, of course, you needed to re-schedule the print product for Q1/24 since CL hit so hard your already planned follow-up needed to be brought forward.
Yes the shackleton was large, but love it so much. Still mining as much as I can out of it and had it day one. Really hoping for another large campaign book
