What do people hope to see in future expansions?

Re-reading some old posts and I had an idea: the atom cats garage. Since the red rocket station already exists, this could be just an additional building with a couple characters like Zeke (in or out of power armor), and an eyebot to represent peepers. It’d expand our “official” scenery while giving non-BoS players more power armor options. I know Modiphius previewed a set of older power armor with a power armor station, so this could fit in with that release.

I like this. I like this idea a lot. Could even do it as a campaign pack. Could fairly easily release a card for each of the characters, do a couple of the key characters outside of the armor, plus have 3-4 power armor models that could be used as any of the characters. If they did the power armor right, they could etch a faint outline of the flames from the armor to aid in painting.

Campaign packs and most definitely quest packs are a fantastic idea. Especially the quest packs.

What I would really love to see is a change in the minis to separate arms and weapon sprues so they can be pose-able and easier to customize.

I don’t care really about the specific terrain, there are so many companies already making good terrain and bits out there that my needs are covered. And with a bit of creativity you can make terrain that is very Fallout looking.

I wonder if it would be feasible to make a few clear resin minis for Chinese Stealth and Recon Armors.

I think they were called Crimson dragons

I’ve always been fond of the Chinese Stealth armor, and I liked the Recon Armor pretty well too. Would enjoy seeing miniatures for those as well.

One of my biggest fears is that there will be no difference between the current Super Mutant faction and the East Coast/Mariposa Super Mutants. I hope Modiphius takes note of the physiological differences between the different strains, including vault 87

I can’t wait for MacCready to be done. Favorite companion hands down. :+1:

You can always paint them purple (or leave their bases empty) and call them nightkin

I agree with you 100%. I pray to god they make ALL the character sprites from Fallout tactics, since the mutants looked the best, with their sausage arms and pin headedness, and the BOS power armor is still the best looking by FAR in the entire franchise

I’d really like to see a scorch beast

Quest packs would be so cool! Id also like a perk pack, i think we need much more aswell as leader perks

Miniature wise I would like much more vault stuff. I know we are getting some vault dwellers which in super hyped for, but id like some vet dwellers that have travelled the wastes, with combat and metal armour over their vault suits.

Scorch Beasts obvs too

Cards:
Large combined sets like the Settlement Deck as well as individual sets for quests, perks, strangers, etc. I’d love to see weapon and item sets, too. I know we can print them out on our own, but I’m one of those weirdos that likes to have everything the same type/quality.

Miniatures:

  1. Weapon sprues. I’m not advocating for 40k amounts of customization here, but maybe just a few extra arms holding different weapons appropriate to the faction would be enough. That way Modiphius can keep the various unique unit poses but still allow for a small amount of customization. Alternatively, give each faction a generic unit (for example: unnamed settlers or raiders) with a basic pose that can be assembled in different ways and leave the named characters the way they are.
  2. A customizable Power Armor kit would be interesting as well. Just a box of various PA pieces (whole and empty frame) that we can assemble as we see fit. Could also be a way to introduce an (optional!) PA damage system.
  3. Sprues of random bits (caps, Nuka-Cola bottles, etc.) that we can use to customize whatever we want.
  4. Finally, I’d also like a few generic “Wastelander” sets consisting of brahmin, merchants/caravans, random wastelanders and mercenaries would be awesome. Would really spice up the table visually for stranger encounters as well as add some options for those that want to do a more RP style campaign. Also, both wastelanders and mercs could be useful as independent additions to skirmishes, either as AI only or in the case of mercs, potential temporary recruits (for a cost, of course).

Scenery:
More battle mat styles/settings. More layouts of various fallout-specific locations like Lexington, Starlight, Super Duper Mart, Downtown Boston, D.C. Ruins, etc., as well as other types of generic interiors like a vault interior, stores, ruined buildings or factories. Again, I know this type of stuff is available elsewhere, but again, I’m one of those weirdos that likes “official” stuff.

Terrain:
I’m hoping we see some more locations like the RR set. A modular vault set would be neat. Heck, the basic piece designs are even already there in the Vault-Tec Workshop for Fallout 4. As for scatter, some themed sets would be nice: vault, factory, store, hospital, urban, wasteland, etc.

Settlements:
Maybe it’s just me, but I’d like to see some kind of expansion of the settlement system. I do like it, but right now, it’s just kind of an activity to do between battles, which makes sense, but for me, it just feels kind of disjointed from the main game for what it involves. I suppose I’d just kind of like to see a more physical or “hands on” approach to it. Like a smaller mat with some structures off to the side of the main board. Maybe some mini scenarios of defending or raiding settlements. I honestly don’t know what to suggest; it’s not bad the way it is currently, I guess I’d just like find ways to make it a bigger part of the main game. For those that want it, of course.

Misc:
Tokens. I like the acrylic range rulers in the store; it would be nice to see an upgrade set for the tokens as well. Even just adding more sticker options for the commonly used tokens to the bottle cap set would work, as the caps as they are currently don’t really seem to add much.

Thanks for reading!

I agree on the official terrain and so on. As much as the stuff I’ve seen from TTC and so on looks really good, it’d be even better if scenery could be done with specific details from the Fallout universe (ie, instead of just generic retro scenics, things actually from the Fallout games would, for me, really put the table into the Fallout setting).

Regarding settlement mode, I think I remember seeing a post from Modiphius (or perhaps it was in an interview?) where they confirmed that it will be getting some expansions in the future. Essentially for wave 1, they wanted to make sure that all the core elements of the 3 game modes were released in a playable manner (partly so people could actually get on and play the game, and also so they could then get some feedback from the playerbase). This would establish a core framework which they can add to in future releases

I heard somewhere that they were planning to do a “Vault” set through Battle Systems (Same people who did the Red Rocket set) and that there are other “Iconic” sets planned. Myself, I’d love to see the diner from the games since that’s among the most recognizable places in the series.

I also agree, TTCombat and a few other companies are doing some really amazing terrain pieces that can fill our tables, but it’s those iconic locations like the Red Rocket or the Diner that would serve to really stand out on our tabletops.

I’m looking forward to the Vault set (Will likely pick up two when the time comes.) and sincerely hope they do a Diner set, military set, and a Metro set eventually. I think that sums up the most iconic locations, after that, you start delving into locations that are more specific to one game or another (Which is fine. Who doesn’t want a Nuka World table?)

FWW is my very first tabletop game. I only found it because I’m an avid gamer and I loved the Fallout franchise. I’ve been watching videos of a game called Warhammer Quest Black Stone Fortress on YouTube and I like the story aspect that it has, as well as the player deaths, sealed envelope rewards, and their in between battle moments.

I would absolutely love a story campaign to this game that’s similar to Blackstone Fortress (if that were possible). It would be awesome to choose a group of fallout miniatures and go on a campaign with them and experience the story that unfolds before them.

You can kind of do that already with a bit of imagination. Play in co-op mode (each player gets 1 character), set up a vault, place blank and lettered search markers throughout in different rooms (representing random enemies) and give everyone the goal of making it to the Overseer’s office to retrieve the GECK

That’s a great example Dweller, unfortunately I’m not gifted with a constant creativity at this sort of thing. And again, this coming from a brand new consumer to tabletop games, a little direction to a campaign mode would keep people like myself begging and spending for campaign books to this game. With my job, family, and personal matters, I just don’t have the time to be able to make a long campaign for this.

I would most certainly pay Modiphius to make one for me and my daughter to play to though!

At the moment, we are just playing through random scenarios in the book and then just random elimination games with no real narrative direction.

Fair enough: I’d buy a campaign book also :sunglasses:. Do you think they should be generic or faction specific?

Short answer: Both. :grimacing: If it were me, I would start generic that way it’s tested in the market first and then, if successful, I’d go faction specific so it would inspire and motivate others to purchase said faction. I would then rinse and repeat with generic books and sprinkle in faction books from time to time. Just my own personal thoughts.
