Update on the partial shipping of vault tech complete packages

I tried to change the delivery adress despite being one of those delayed but was told that wasn’t possible :confused:

you should be able to change your address - though it depends if the order has shipped or not. Please contact customer support and quote me here.

@Eurosolo - yes the vault tec bundles are being part shipped - with the issues today it will depend how quickly they get up and running. but I’m hopeful most should ship this week. It does depend on the courier co, where are you are in relation to the hub, customs and so on but typically should be a few days

We are now completely out of the two player starter box so the only places with them will be retailers until our new stock arrives in late november

I guess examples of getting it wrong are heavy gear and dreamforge games. Both for different reasons.

Heavy gear, because the minis are ok, but could have been amazing due to limited posing options.

Dreamforge games because they are awesome models, but the cost to restock is so much, he can’t do another run so is returning to resin.

My guess they are still trying to ship orders that have been placed before the March 1 deadline. A friend and myself have not received any notice yet and all of our orders have been delayed with the different production issues.

How I understand what was said earlier this week is that orders were supposed to have been shipped as of yesterday, but their computer system went down for a big part of the day. I would think that one day of down time would translate into a one day extension of that time. To me, that means the last of it likely went out today and if it takes about 24 hours to update the shipping info, we should hear something tomorrow or the next day at the very latest.

Or at least that’s what I’m hoping it amounts to.

Apparently they are going to send out an update for all those who have not yet shipped today (being friday for me).
So I’m looking forward to hearing how it will be shipping next week again; at this point I’m convinced they mean ‘next week’ as in the concept of always being a week away, and not meaning the actual week following this one.

I suspect any update will come tonight after Chris can get details from the warehouse of what has shipped today.

hi there just writing an update on email tonight, it’s been a long and frustrating day so bear with me - I’m still in the office resolving this at 9.30pm.

In short

-The warehouse weren’t able to ship 100-150 orders per day as they informed us, the complexity of some of the orders reduced this to 50. As a result our estimate of completing the priority orders by middle of the week was incorrect. This isn’t there fault they were shipping this many previously but the big bundles proved a lot more complicated and with the problems with their outage (below) this didn’t get communicated to us due to the massive problems this caused them. They were back up and running on Thursday but had a huge backlog for all their customers. They’re hoping to free up some extra people next week from other clients shipments to assist us getting the priority orders completed, and we’ve offered to bring a team down for a day to mass pick enough orders to speed that up. It’s an extremely busy warehouse and with their health & safety regulations this may not be possible but we’re looking at all options.

  • The warehouse’s software (disconnect on their primary dataserver for those who want to know) went down on wednesday causing a big backlog with ours and other clients shipments.

  • With so many people saying they ordered day 1 (when we had a huge surge) we investigated on thursday to check if anything odd was happening. We learned more details on how the warehouse software is working which we hadn’t known till now. If orders were coming through a webstore with live stock as they do normally for us, it would deal with them in date order but the Fallout pre-orders were downloaded to avoid causing a blockage in the system. When we gave them the data for say October-March we found it didn’t deal with everything in order date, it grabbed blocks of orders by type of courier. This makes sense for the warehouse as you’re doing a whole batch of one courier, then a whole batch of post office but not in this particular case where date order was important for us. It’s meant a lot of people who ordered early were for some reason sitting in the system till late.

We’ve taken action to rectify this - we’re finding the orders in the system that still haven’t been shipped that were made in the first week and pushing them to the front of the queue next week. This is complicated - it’s not a simple check box or button and has to be done carefully to avoid causing problems with the data. About 28 of those were picked today but won’t actually ship till monday. If you’re still waiting we will get to you and aim to get your orders out first next week.

Currently the warehouse were down to 198 Vault Tec bundles remaining. This means 573 Vault Tec bundles have shipped, let alone the rest of the orders. There are only 17 Vault Dweller bundles remaining to ship and the rest are smaller starter bundles. As mentioned above we’re looking at options to get these out as fast as humanly possible next week and I’ll update you about that end of play Monday.

  • As soon as we clear the last of the priority orders the secondary orders will be added to the system - we’ll burn through these as quickly as possibly but i’ll give you an update on that as soon as the priority clears the system.

For those orders placed after the close of the pre-order through to 10th September that are over £120 we’re still going to include a Nuka Cola girl since they will also have to wait longer for shipments.

We had a big meeting today to make sure we don’t repeat this - the good thing that’s come out of this is with the massive retail demand means we can begin exploring hard plastics for some of the later sets in 2019 such as the Institute. It’s a LONG process so watch this space and we will still be producing in resin too.

Sorry for the long painful post and I know those waiting are bored of hearing about delays, especially on a friday but I hope the above makes it clear where we are and we’re taking action to get those orders out.

Thanks for the update Chris, while I can’t hide I’m disappointed, is not the end of the world. I’ll survive and the game will be good.

Thanks for the update. I did not order a vault tech bundle, but just random bits and bobs including a resin starter set. Am I save to say that my order is not going to be shipped for at least a week or so? I placed my order in early January.

I have a question about this. You mention all bundles and Two Player Starters in the above quote. You DO have enough to fill all the preorders from before the the cut off date and this shortage ONLY affects orders from AFTER the cut off date? Or is this going to prevent some of us from the early orders from getting our orders as well?

While I’m disappointed with the news, I ordered a starter set through my FLGS that is coming in on Tuesday so at least I will be playing by then regardless.

I would like to know the answer to gatekeepers question as well. If you do not have enough product to fill pre-order and now you are asking us to wait 4 more month then you better have a real solution.

As a software engineer working in the production/warehousing sector I can understand the processing/order date issue. I am disappointed that it might be at least another week before I receive my order.

You’ll also be in the priority orders - they’re all with the warehouse going through the system and I’ll give a further update end of play monday once we know the plan for next week.

We have enough starter sets yes. Any new orders taken on our website from Thursday are only shipping from early December as we are now technically out - we’ve allowed a few spare in case of issues. Everyone’s pre-orders will ship.

That’s not possible as it’s already in the system and further changes would require deleting all the current data, manually changing it, re-uploading it and that can cause days of delay. We are moving it as quickly as is possible with the warehouse though
