Thanks mate. The LED is just a little Photon light I threw in the room to light up the interior for the photograph. It looks really good though doesnt it? I imagine it would be possible to put an LED inside the stove and it would look awesome, but it’s wayyy beyond my patience and skill and the thought of having to route the cables and hide the power supply and all that, gives me shivers.
It does! I might have to try something like it next time I’m taking pictures of my own minis
OK, I cant resist. I’ll let you into a little secret providing you promise not to tell anyone? You see the large crate in the above pic with the vault-Tec stencil on it? It’s hollow. I made it to house 2xAAA batteries and set it on top of a pair of pallets that would allow me to route cables underneath it in any direction to one (or several) LED’s. I havent quite figured the rest out yet.
Ooh, that’s an awesome idea! Could easily fit alongside basically anything theme wise, so plenty of room for ideas
This all looks great
The little stove came out really well. And the water tower looks like it’s heading the same way!
Sadly, any join that isn’t 90 degrees is a real limitation of mdf kits I have a corner store from Sarissa that I’m looking at putting together and I expect a lot of work with putty is going to be needed.
I’d never thought about making crates from coffee stirrers, I have a load of resin ones and it just never occured to me. But being able to put batteries in them would be a real bonus. Fantastic
