Hello. First of all, this is a wonderful tool and I appreciate the work that goes into it.
I’d like to report the following bug:
The online generator is no longer adding +3 for “best" attributes, +1 for “worst” and +2 or the other mandatory attributes per page 17 of the main rule book. Instead, it has begun to add only a +1 for best, subtracts a -1 for worst, and only adds +1 to the other mandatory.

I used the character generator last night and it allowed me to chose dao as a melee weapon, even though I chose core rules only for character generation. Is the dao found in the core rules? It states that the dao only has a damage rating of 3 CD, with no qualities. Is that correct? I coudn’t find it anywhere in the core rules. Is the dao found somewhere else, in one of the source books perhaps?
Dao isn’t core, no. I would guess its in Wanderer, a recent book which includes Khitai. Maybe an update has ‘bled over’.
Got it. I’ll use it, I suppose. My character isn’t much of a melee character anyway, so my choice of weapon isn’t as important. Thanks for the reply.

The online character generator doesn’t seem to be working fully, I’m getting a message that the PDF export is not working?

Generator is down for the second day in a row that I am aware of. Is there a mirror site?
The link in the original post returns an error that the site cannot be found.
I double- and triple-checked that I’m using the proper URL, sent the link to friends and a couple of my players, even had my wife try it. All of us are getting the same message.
I’ve got a warband eager muster, but it’s difficult flipping between a dozen PDFs to make characters for seven players crammed around two laptops. Having a functional Character Generator would soothe the angry horde.
Edit: 6 hours later, and it’s working! By Crom, I thought I’d have to maul my players to keep the peace!
Export to PDF via Firefox on Windows 11 doesn’t work, file is unreadable (according to adobe acrobat).
So I am getting the same error on Chrome on my Android mobile phone, even when I try the “Desktop Site” version, but it seems to work fine with Chrome on my Chromebook and my work PC…
Emailed Modiphius about the issue and got a reply:
“Good morning,
Thanks for your email and apologies for the issue. Unfortunately the developer stepped down and we do not have a replacement. There are no current plans to have it back up and running at the moment.”

Anyone, no if the source code and stuff is available for it or can be obtained? I remember something similar happened with the STA app and you have to go to another site cause someone else is doing it if I’m not mistaken now.

The Infinity and Mutant Chronicles generators are gone now too.
Here seems to be Cristoffers character creator tool codes for Infinity, Conan, Star Trek and Mutant Chronicles.
Looks like he tried to get someone to take over the development of tools over 2 years ago.
Don’t know if anyone actually ever did. Now would be a prime time if ever.
You know, I would be happy if they simply left it up the way it was like a week ago… I don’t need any new entries added (although that would be nice to eventually include the new sources), just the ability to pull in the entries already entered.
There certainly seems to be no reason to pull it down.

The Melee Talent “Brutal Retaliation” is listed as being in the Barbarian book, but it is in the Mercenary book instead.
Will the generator be available after the IP moves on?
