What do people hope to see in future expansions?

Well I was thinking you’d need to hit the target like six times doing no damage but adding a token, once you had enough to do a crit itd it’d be fairly late in the game but the pay off would be an extra unit when it could tip the balance.

And maybe a chance each turn the effect could break.

More for narrative than anything competative.

Yes

With the mesmetron, when you used it in game the person you used it on was always too out of it to fight. The whole really drowsy open to suggestion thing. I don’t think getting total control over the model for a bit makes much sense since they’d be too out of it to fight, right?

What about after being hit 2 or 3 times the first player to get a model in base to base contact with them can either take all their item cards or have them make a move action in any direction they want?

I would LOVE to see something like that.

I really like their little terrain set, and that it essentially comes with a bunch of stuff that could be objective markers, but I’d kill for a bunch of Fallout themed brick-a-brac to make my own stuff.

I hope :

  • super mutant from the master’s army (mutant with good guns and not ■■■■-pipe-gun) to go with the Master mini from the 22/09 update.
  • no more raiders with pipe-gun…

I remember seeing an email from some time ago that included Frank Horrigan’s weapons (and he himself?).

Also, I’m curious to know more about this:

As well as the Corvega’s with detatchable doors/wheels:

I’m a bit behid on Wave2 details, so if it’s in with that info, I’ll need to do some more digging…

The dev blog has most of the general details on what’ll be coming in Wave 2 and 3  Doesn’t have all of it though, can’t remember where some of it was…

I really like to see Bitz.
Weaponbitz (I prefer to play wysiwyg on my models), bitz for bases and terrain like nuka cola bottles, boxes and all the nice details, we now from the game

also i hope to see other versions of the creatures. special the death claw. normaly I just convert miniatures. but special this one… with a lot of green stuff and motivation. but i would prefer to just buy a second one in an other pose.

and of course i like to see a complete nuka world expansion. everything from the add on. and the same for the pitt and lonesome road.

Throw in some creepy house terrain to that Pickman set and I’d be all in.

I want to see Bottle and Cappy, just so I can destroy them over and over and over again…

I would love to see some stuff from the New Vegas Dead Money expansion. Those hazmat suits were super creepy. A model for DOG and Dean Domino would be sweet as well! Also a wrecked subway station for a terrain pack with wrecked tunnels. Gotta go underground sometimes right?

I imagine that the reason they don’t already exist is due to game balance, but I’d like to see some models carrying a Fat Man. It’s one of the most iconic weapons in the Fallout universe, after all

Well I imagine it’s tricky to balance a powerful aoe weapon.

I’d say you have to make firing it take two actions for a start, give it a -2 penalty maybe in game it’s not super accurate.

I’d be surprised if they didn’t do a model carrying a fat man at some point. Might be that you have to pay points for each fat man shell, so you only have a limited number of shots or something?

I’d count it as a regular heavy weapon, so like the missile launcher it can only fire once per activation.
But, unlike other guns in the game, I’d give it a limited amount of ammo. And not just that: The caps cost of the Fat Man would include a single mini nuke and any extra ammo you want for it you’ll have to pay extra caps for.
That way, you have to carefully consider the number of shots you want to have. Too little and you run out of ammo fast, too many and you bind a lot caps in a single mini, running the risk of him getting taken out before he gets to fire them.

You guys have a good idea there about buying individual mini nukes, costing them will be tricky got to be cheap enough to make it useable but expensive enough that you can’t spam it.

60ish caps?

I might have missed it, but has anyone from the team mentioned whether or not we can expect a Curie in future waves? Preferably like a two pack with her Mrs Handy and Synth versions. Outside of Ada from the robots DLC, she’s my most used companion.

Curie has been confirmed Twice by Chris.

So with microsoft acquiring both Obsidian and inxile studios today, I wonder if that will make licensing game units from Fallout: New Vegas easier or harder or more or less expensive. We can always dream!!
