I think the period that is also called the “Lost Years” in between of the Movies Era and the start of TNG.
it’s also called The Missing Years… a term coined during the TNG run. But given the various gaps now present… Ent→DIS, SNW→TOS, TAS→STTMP, ST:G→TNG, Voyager→Picard, Picard→DIS… Lots of dark times.
For me, my wish list is a “Militarized Starfleet Alternate Universe”…
