I’m disappointed Space 1999 was chosen for the next RPG; I would’ve thought Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, Fireball XL5, Stingray, UFO or even Space Precinct would’ve been better Gerry Anderson source material subjects, with more scope.
I will say, as someone who only heard of “Gerry Anderson” because of this post, Space 1999 is at least an IP/show I have heard of. It makes complete sense to go with the most popular (or at least vaguely in the public’s perception) show, especially when Modiphius has experience with Star Trek as another space-based game.
