Character Generator says “The service is unavailable”. Updates or problems going on?

This will make me extremely sad if true ongoing . . .
The service had a few hiccups and is no longer maintained by the original author. But I also have some good news: I’m currently working with Modiphius and Heroic Signatures (the license holders) to take the project over and ensure it remains available even after the license deadline. More updates soon.

You might consider enabling the ‘discussions’ tab for the creator on github, to allow a space for talking about things that aren’t “issues.” (Then again, it might also end up with people putting bugs in discussions, so *shrug*.)
I think there’s already a healthy amount of options for discussion between this forum and the multiple Discord servers. But I might enable it if the engagement justifies it (and so far it’s been super low). I also share the same concerns as you regarding the misuse of the discussions feature for reporting bugs.
