Looking so much forward to Dune...but Adam Koebel?!

Also, right now you do seem like an agent provocateur. Maybe you are and - oh well -, perhaps I’m being agressive… I’m just waiting to be flagged again for inappropriate and hostile comments.

Self-awareness is the first step towards self-improvement…

Hi Everyone.

Aside from the Discussion about Adam Koebel, since you no longer wish to purchase our products and want to be removed from the forums, I can erase your profile now MigRib. It won’t delete your posts, but you wont get notifications, etc.

Yes, please, it was mainly to avoid getting notifications, I don’t really care about the posts.

Actually I’ve seen or read several reviews of Conan products, where woke gamers comment on the beautiful women, portrayal of minorities, or even the existence of slavery, and call for there to be trigger warnings or “more modern” representations of such things. Personally I think Modiphius has done a fine job in Conan with paying homage to the original stories while acknowledging certain embedded mindsets behind their creation. Personally, none of that bothers me at all and I’m firmly in the “woke culture is in fact blind culture” camp. You should engage and confront what makes you uncomfortable, not just try to erase it to make yourself feel better or get on “the right side.” So I hope they stay the current course with Conan. It’s supposed to escapism after all. I don’t expect or want my Conan games to reflect whatever is currently politically correct.

Perfect examples of how we’ve become too sensitive, pushing others to be responsible for reactions and causing one to be uncomfortable. Even worse, Presentism being pushed, compounding being overly sensitive with demands for “more modern” representations.

I 100% agree with this.

I saw no problem with it and my opinion counts extra.

And that’s the main thing!

I think the only thing I have issue is with this overuse of woke to describe someone who has an opinion not shared by other people. I know it’s an old word, but it’s basically now a right-wing word used to describe anyone with a bit of empathy and those don’t think how we said/did things in the past were necessarily great. I know living in the UK and being a 70s/80s child, I can see the issues there with how people treated others and still do.
The Victorian mindset was very different to my own, but I can enjoy games set in those times, even when I understand some of their views were well dodgy. Same as with Dune, about half way through Heretics now and wow are there some dodgy ideas in there.

Are people missing the fact that all three parties involved have discussed this and they came to the decision together?
