I am sorry, it seems that I have picked a bad example (D-Day: The Darkest Day) for my case - in fact I did overlook the information that you´ve pointed out…
Other - and better - examples are:
A!C 2D20 gamemaster´s screen and toolkit - PDF is not included but sold separetely… the Gamemaster´s bundle does indeed include PDFs of the Gamemaster´s and Player´s Guide, but not the PDF of the GM screen.
A!C 2D20 Unexplored - this book also doesn´t contain the pdf (is it because it is a softcover?) I plan on buying this one…
A!C 2D20 Shadowds of Atlantis - no PDF included (I bought the book and the PDF separetely…)
Since I always buy the book as well as the correspondig PDF I am very delighted to have stumbled upon this thread… I just don´t understand why there are some physical books coming with and other physical books coming without a PDF…

I think it may be Modiphius not being consistent in their advertising on the items.
I have just checked some of the Dune books I have bought and while they don’t specify that you get a pdf, I have always received one when I have purchased through their site.
I.e the Great Game
The Dune GM pack didn’t initially include the screen, but that got fixed with an updated version. Maybe a similar situation with the A!C?
Overall as far as I am aware If you buy through the Modiphius website then you should automatically get the pdf. If you physically buy elsewhere support always seems to be able to sort out the pdf from what I hear.
Modiphius does seem to be dedicated to making sure you if you buy physical you get the pdf. They just aren’t always very good at making that clear it seems.
