Im new to the game. I bought the core raiders box plus the psycho, etc i have cards with pics of figures for them but more figures than cards.i bought 3 card packs. Am i missing some cards or are there not cards for every figure in the game? Also how do i find all the latest errata/faqs?
The game will sometimes have multiple models for a single figure type.
Something like a Gen 1 Synth has two templates (Battered and not) but eight models. And while I think that’s the most obvious place where there’s multiple models for one card art, there are plenty of other places where there’s more than one compatible model for a card.
For me, I tend to select models for the game I am about to play, then try to make clear what everything is intended to be if it doesn’t match the card art to avoid any potential confusion during play. It’s pretty common at my table that we will proxy in models either for our own amusement or because we don’t have enough models of a certain type. (A while back the guy I typically play with had a clown army that he ran under Raider templates, was good for some laughs.)
Most important thing though is to just have fun. I’ve seen people picture their own models, fully painted, then photoshop that picture into their own cards so they have a unique card for every model, others just announce what each model is supposed to be and runs with it. There’s no wrong way to handle it so long as everyone is in agreement and you’re happy with how you present your stuff.
Hope that helps.
Ok. I wasnt sure if there is supposed to be a card for each figure (with the figure’s pic on it)
Including a unit card for each model in every set of miniatures would have drastically increased cost or meant fewer of the gear and narrative cards. It’s a limitation of how cards are printed in large sheets then cut up.
I think initially the designers expected players to use multi model units, all with same gear, which meant only one unit card per type was needed.
You can also download the unit cards for free and print them if you prefer that.
