The mods don’t seem to be responding to any of the rules queries and not many of the forum members either. I just keep seeing updates of stripped down rules sets like Nuka World or whatever that introductory ruleset they posted a month or so ago is.
I hope not, but I’ve had similar suspicions. I think the lack of physical cards is going to hurt the game’s popularity especially among more casual players, but I also think they’ll keep supporting it since they’ve now got TWO games (Factions and Wasteland Warfare) that make use of the same models.
Here’s hoping that what we’ve seen so far is just the tip of the iceberg and that there will be countless new models gracing our tables for many years to come.
Hey folks. Most discussions have mostly moved over to our Discord page, which is very active. We are also doing rules updates through our central errata page now.
Somewhat gratiffing to hear, although it seems strange to switch to an app when this forum already exists. Hopefully the next errata addresses the plethera of missprints and other issues that none of the previous erratas did.
Anyway, hopefully the game continues to be produced at least until we get that Master model that was previewed.
Yeah considering how many people I see on the discord vs here, not a shock they’d move there. I do think traditional forums still have a good role tho, much better for long term discussions.
My hope is that the game continues, but that all future models are made in plastic, the resin models are a real pain to put together. I think the new factions models are all plastic, I don’t think I’ll buy any more of the resin models they are not worth the effort. Get the starter set and stop there:grin:
They will increase the number of plastic kits, think the aim is to have all base faction forces as multipart plastic. But resin will remain for the named characters and big assets.
Biggest shame for me is losing the scenic bases. My own build up for bases is terrible lol.
On that note, there are some bits in the plastic kits that will make nice basing pieces. If you look at the sprues, or the example models, you’ll see some odds and ends on the plastic bases.
As much as plastics are easier to work with, I am not a fan of of the plastic Super Mutants. They went from looking like dangerous wasteland scavengers in resin, to dumpy fatbodies in plastic.
Not found any yet, only clipped out the 76 ghoul pack of the plane base kits so far. I at least like that it’s a slightly textured base for them so it can easily be done as wasteland ground. I am looking more in to 3D printing tho as that would help with greeblies.
Ah, I’ve been working with the three raider kits this last week, so been seeing bits and pieces with all of that. Now that you mention it, I don’t remember bits in the other plastic kits either.
And yeah, 3d printing is really nice. Doing up a plate of Nuka Cola bottles or other small common bits give some really good options to scatter on your bases.
