Is there a set of generic dice out there for 2d20 or just the themed sets?

If you meant Effect dice, I made a bunch of these using blank dice.
You can get super cheap ones on Amazon.

You just write on them using permanent black marker.
If you ever want to erase the marking, use isopropyl alcohol, lighter fluid or muscol (yes, the mosquito reppelant).
