2D20 007 (or Live and Let Dice)

Not sure if the timing is right with the end of Craig’s run, but seems like a pretty good franchise for the game system.

I would FREAKING LOVE a James Bond 007 2D20 game.

As someone with a great deal of the old James Bond material by Victory Games, i think 2d20 is a superior fit for the genre of melodramatic international espionage.

As Infinity RPG is already a game that is focussed on espionage, secret agent missions, etc. a technologically toned-down version of the Infinity RPG could easily work as 007 RPG.

Now that Modiphius have announced they are releasing a Spectre boardgame, could there be a possibility they also have the license for a 007 RPG? I’d loooooooove to see a 2d20 Bond RPG!

That would be a mandatory purchase.

If they did do so I wonder how they would handle the different Bond eras.
A Sean Connery Bond is a very different beast to a Daniel Craig Bond.

Maybe we will see the sort of STA and Dune eras for the styles of campaigns?

Yes that would be interesting!
I could definitely see a two-prong approach.
One would be a timeline angle, like noting when this tech or that organization is in play. Maybe the Cold War and the Global War on Terror as different campaign settings.

And then there’d have to be guidance on rule tweaks for realism: gritty v. light-hearted. Maybe slide all the way into a pulp hero style of play.

Come on Modiphius, do you have the RPG license for 007 to go along with the board game license you already have?

Can someone from Modiphius acknowledge or deny if you have the RPG license for 007 to go along with the board game license you already have?

Let’s brainstorm this!

First question: what should the two sets of attributes be for a 007 game?

My thoughts:
Ability scores:
Strength
Dexterity
Intelligence
Fitness
Charm
Areas of Expertise:
Driving
Espionage
Fighting
Investigation
Marksmanship
Socialising
Sports
