Dealing with powerful PCs

I don’t have a good solution for mid- to high-experienced PCs…Most of my players in my 2d20 campaigns want to play over an extended time, accumulating lots of experience.

What are your thoughts on Mutations, as well as the “guidance for handling monsters and
creatures in your Conan games” from the Horrors book?
